About Cornerstone Wellness

My name is Elizabeth Schnell. I am a Certified Nutritionist and Certified Massage Therapist. I have spent more than 20 years independently studying nutrition to find ways to improve my health naturally. During that time I spent 5 years working in the Health Food industry. As my interest in Health and Wellness grew, I became a Massage Therapist. I graduated from Colorado School of Healing Arts over 12 years ago and have practiced in Colorado, Texas and Japan.

I am specialized in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofacial, Sports Massage and Infant Massage. I have worked closely with athletes for over 10 years, and have developed and taught a Sports Massage program for the Texas Department of Health. Massage Therapy can help in many ways, the most common being injury recovery, pain management and stress relief. It, also, aids in improved circulation and flexibility, restoring muscle tone, decreasing blood pressure, and creates an enhanced body awareness; just to name a few.

Five years ago I decided to pursue higher education to be able to help more people achieve better health naturally. I received my Certificate of Nutritional Science from American Health Science University, and I have a Certificate of Completion of the Natural Foods Education Program from Bastyr College of Natural Health Sciences.

The quality of our diet has a significant impact on how the body's ability to deal with stress. Eating high-fat, highly-processed foods that contain artificial colors, flavors and preservatives add stress to the body rather than providing the healthful nutrition that it needs. Most of these processed foods contain extremely high amounts of sugar and sodium which can contribute to the health issues listed above. The best thing you can do nutritionally is to eat fresh foods that are not, or are minimally, processed. These foods contain vitamins, minerals and enzymes that your body uses to rebuild and restore itself after working and playing. I call these live foods. The more life in the food, the more life in you.

I believe the body has an amazing ability to heal itself. God has given us many tools to use to help facilitate that healing process. If we take a more natural approach to encourage those processes we will have even greater health. My healing journey began more than 20 years ago. That journey gave me the desire to help others achieve a level of wellness beyond the usual standard to exceptional.

It would be a privilege to help you on you wellness journey.
